General Information
on EEO Rights and the Complaints Process EOPO
Counselors
are available to all NASA employees and contingent workers for consultation
or general information on EEO Rights, the complaints process and guidance
on other issues as they relate to discrimination.
Complaints
In the event that
an employee feels they have been discriminated against, EOPO Counselors
are available for a casual pre-complaints inquiry or to provide information
on how to file an EEO complaint or arrange for mediation between the
employee and management.
EEO Guidance
for Managers and Supervisors
EOPO Counselors
are here to serve both NASA employees and management. Upon request,
EOPO Counselors can provide guidance and answers procedural questions
related to NASA EEO policy and the complaints process. We believe that
an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Therefore, managers
are encouraged to contact the EOPO staff for guidance and to establish
an ongoing working relationship on issues related to promotion, hiring
and recruitment activities.
Advisory Committee
Support
The EOPO supports
Ames Advisory Groups of people of color and women by providing meeting
space within the EOPO conference room, managing financial resources
in support of their activities, attending regularly scheduled meetings
to share information and provide advisory groups members with opportunities
to support Equal Opportunity programs and initiatives.
